Diego Ulissi takes his second stage win in reduced sprint finish at the Giro d’Italia 2020

Diego Ulissi (UAE Team Emirates) came out on top ahead of João Almeida (Deceuninck – Quick-Step) and Patrick Konrad (Bora-Hansgrohe) in a photo finish where the Italian won by half a wheel on the line.

The sprinters gave their all to get back on after losing touch over the final climb but were not able to get back on and the sprint came down to the general classification contenders and a couple of punchers, such as Ulissi.

Almeida extends his lead yet again over Wilco Kelderman (Team Sunweb) an the rest by adding six seconds of bonuses with the second place on the day. He leads by 40 seconds now.
